Back from the beach! We spend a wonderful week at Alligator Point, Fl. We had the beach to ourselves, it was a wonderful time to read and relax!
I made these two platters during one of the last sessions of my hand-building class. I made the flower transfers with underglazes on newsprint paper and the hedgehog and mushroom transfers are commercial transfers. I used the same light pink slip for both backgrounds and the platters are a beautiful dark brown/red clay body.
I really love how they turned out, my one regret is using the two blue underglazes on a couple of the flowers. The dark blue is new to me and I didn’t realize it would be so dark. I think I prefer the flowers that are solid colors, I especially like the red and pink. <3 And the hedgies turned out really adorable.
