I made these plates with a few different GR Pottery forms. I first rolled really thin slabs, cut the shapes using the pottery forms and then pressed the forms with the clay into foam. I added thin feet on the bottoms of all four plates. Because I knew I wanted to decorated the pieces with my colorful underglaze transfers, I painted the brown clay with white underglaze before adding the transfers.
Once the plates were bisqued, I painted a clear glaze on top. Unfortunately the oval piece warped in the second firing, so I had to throw him out but overall I’m really happy with the results. <3
