Last week I took part in a two day PD called the Innovative Makers Academy. It was easily one of the best professional developments I’ve ever been a part of! We had equal amounts of lecture/discussion and hands-on learning. Our group was mostly visual art and stem educators, so I think we all enjoyed the chance to make art.
The art-making included wood turning (we made honey dippers), paper sculptures, laser engraving, and the use of several stem tools.
We were the inaugural class for this program – I would hands down love to do it again!
