Mushroom Stained Glass

  • Mushroom Stained Glass

I was on Fall Break this week, so I was able to take a workshop during the day! This is my fifth stained glass workshop – third focusing on small pieces, and I love all the different steps. You definitely have to be patient with the process – rushing can lead to bleeding, which I did cut myself this time (I was literally just turning over a piece of glass, not cutting or anything remotely dangerous. lol). I was gonna go abstract again for my template but I saw this cute mushroom template and decided to go for it. I was going for a more of a fun Mario-style, fun mushroom rather than one you would fine in nature. Hopefully it reads that way, I’m not so sure. Oh, well – I had fun making it, love the bright colors, and I’m looking forward to taking another intermediate level (bigger piece!) class next month.
